Demon MailDefender blocking Amazon, WeTransfer, etc? ? Demon ...

Our Demon migration in November was been a nightmare. Not helped by Demon losing service at the same time making us think we'd configured it wrong. However, now I find that lots of emails are getting lost.

In the last two months I've made at least half a dozen purchases from Amazon. As everyone knows, they're great at their automated emails, excessive even. But I've had none. (Almost causing a huge upset over a declined card for a Christmas present!)

We also sell through Amazon Marketplace. Every time a customer places an order, we get a confirmation email. We've had about 30 orders - luckily we access them online - but no confirmation emails.

WeTransfer.com is a well-known large file sending service, a rival to YouSendIt.? We use it regularly. Three times people have sent me large files using the service - but each time I've not had the email link.

An important supplier to our company send their VAT invoices by their automated system.? We've placed three orders with them - I get their delivery updates but never the VAT invoice, which I've had to request separately each time.

What other emails am I not getting?

So I went into the Demon Email Management Portal to see if I could look at the spam filter settings.?
Here's the setting: "DEMON MAIL DEFENDER IS ACTIVE".
And it's 'mandatory'.
And there's no spam box or anything.
No control over anything in the useless 'dashboard'.
No links to anywhere; no options, no nothing.
Demon's much-trumpeted business scale anti-spam service.

What kind of 'executive' makes a decision to implement an anti-spam service on all an ISP's customers, leaving them with no option and no recourse to check whether it's actually working ok?? Giving it 'free' - but it's crap; worse than no filtering as we had before.? And really; is there anyone using the internet who hasn't heard of Amazon?

There is NO foolproof spam filter.? Which is why sensible (and mostly free) services such as Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail and Plusnet put the spam they've filtered into a Spambox. Then if you're missing something you can look in there. And if something's wrongly in there, you can flag it as 'good'. Familiar to all? I wonder if Mr. Mail Defender has heard of this brainwave solution?

(Did I read somewhere that Mail Defender said it was 97% accurate? If so, that's a rubbish figure. If I get 100 emails a day, I want to see all of them, not lose 3 a day.)

Anybody any ideas?? I don't see anyone else has this problem (but - would they know about it?) - and reading the other posts I doubt if Demon will respond before a few days have passed.
