Uganda Government News: MPs say president???s cabinet reshuffle intended to hoodwink Ugandans

Ultimate Media

Members of Parliament have described the president?s decision to reshuffle his cabinet as a diversionary mechanism to prevent Ugandans from discussing the chopper crash fatalities.

According to MPs including Barnabas Tinkasimire, Theodore Sekikubo, Betty Nambooze and Abdu Katuntu, even the way he reshuffled his cabinet shows he was not ready to do so but hurriedly did it to confuse Ugandans.

The MPs base on the Chogm suspects which he retained and older members like Tarsis Kabwegyere whom he has reappointed minister after a year.

Tinkasimire says since John Nasasira, Mwesigwa Rukutana and Sam Kutesa are still in court over chogm issues and that Museveni should not have retained them in cabinet the way he did to Khiddu Makubuya, Syda Bumba and Kabakukumba Masiko.

Sekikubo also says as a practice all over the world, a vice president should be a president in waiting to take over from the president but Museveni?s choice to appoint his deputy who is even much older than him signifies his determination to take Ugandans for a ride.

President Museveni last Wednesday reshuffled his cabinet causing very minimal changes.
