Deep-water platforms ready for Gulf of Mexico (photos)

Houston Chronicle energy reporter Zain Shauk and photographer Melissa Phillip?traveled to Kiewit Offshore Services in Ingleside, Texas?this week for a tour of ?Anadarko Petroleum?s newest and largest deep-water production platform. ?Their behind-the-scenes look at the monumental Lucius platform spar revealed more than they expected. The grounds were buzzing with workers and cranes putting final touches on several towering structures that soon will go to work in the Gulf of Mexico. Here?s a sneak peek at what they saw.
